No need for heavy coats or binoculars—Minnesota’s bald eagles are coming to you live! Thanks to the eagle cams operated by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, you can now tune in to watch two nesting pairs, including a brand-new duo joining the livestream lineup.
While things are pretty quiet in the new nest right now, it won’t stay that way for long. “Over the next several months, we expect them to start bringing in new branches and nesting materials,” shared Lori Naumann from the Nongame Wildlife Program. “This is part of their courtship—actively building the nest together shows their commitment to each other and their potential as partners.” Romantic, right?
The second camera keeps its watchful eye on a bittersweet story. It previously followed the beloved pair “Nancy and Beau,” whose nest tragically collapsed during an April snowstorm in 2023, resulting in the loss of their chick. While the pair has since relocated to a new tree, the camera remains, offering the chance to spot glimpses of them as they continue their journey.
