With President Trump’s landmark “Big, Beautiful Bill” now officially passed, the celebrations aren’t just about policy wins — they’re also about legacy. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), one of Trump’s most vocal supporters in the House, says the passage of this sweeping bill marks a historic turning point for the country — and that it’s time to start thinking big when it comes to honoring the man behind it.
“President Donald Trump and House Republicans just made history,” Ogles said in a statement.
The congressman described hours spent at the White House with Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, personally working the floor to help whip votes in favor of the legislation. The bill ultimately passed Thursday in a tight 218–214 vote.
Ogles didn’t mince words about the bill’s impact, calling it the start of a “new golden age” for the country. And the details back that up. The legislation includes:

In perhaps the boldest remark yet, Ogles said:
“Wins like this are exactly why he deserves serious consideration for a third term — AND why so many believe he belongs on Mt. Rushmore.”

Back in January, Ogles actually introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the U.S. Constitution and allow a president to serve three terms, provided no more than two are consecutive. The goal, Ogles explained, is to give a transformational leader like Trump the opportunity to “reverse our nation’s decay” and finish what he started.
The proposed amendment reads:
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms…”
This proposal has stirred plenty of buzz, especially in conservative circles where frustration with the Biden era — from economic instability to border chaos — has left many hungry for more than just a return to normal.
And then there’s the matter of Mount Rushmore — the iconic monument honoring presidents who shaped the nation.
Ogles and others aren’t just joking when they suggest adding Trump’s likeness. After all, Trump’s achievements — especially with the recent passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” — have gone beyond what most modern presidents have accomplished.
