FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino says he’s seen things that “shocked him to his core” while investigating political corruption and weaponization within the U.S. government. And he’s not holding back.
In a powerful post on X (formerly Twitter), Bongino said the investigations being conducted by the FBI under his watch and that of Director Kash Patel have exposed deeply disturbing truths:
“What I have learned… has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”
He didn’t give specific names or details, but his message was clear: something is seriously wrong inside America’s institutions.
Bongino emphasized that he and Patel are determined to root out corruption—whether in law enforcement or intelligence agencies—and committed to bringing the truth to light:
“We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. You can expect an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not ‘my truth,’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE truth.”
His statement comes on the heels of controversy surrounding a DOJ and FBI memo that claimed there was no “client list” connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and no evidence of blackmail. The memo also concluded Epstein committed suicide, not murder—something many Americans still question.
Reports have also surfaced of behind-the-scenes tension between Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi, with disagreements allegedly centering on her handling of Epstein-related files. President Trump, however, has come to Bondi’s defense, calling her “fantastic” and dismissing media attempts to stir up scandal.
In a broader context, Bongino’s post taps into growing public distrust of federal institutions. His words echo concerns shared by millions of Americans—that political power is being abused behind closed doors, and that the truth is being hidden from the public.
As more details emerge, one thing’s for sure: Bongino is promising to uncover it all—and he doesn’t sound like a man who plans to back down.
Stay tuned.
