A bombshell new book, Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump, claims the Biden White House orchestrated a widespread legal campaign to jail or bankrupt former President Donald Trump and block his return to power in 2024.
According to the book, written by investigative journalist and commentator Alex Marlow, the strategy was clear: if Democrats couldn’t beat Trump at the ballot box, they would do it in the courtroom. The book outlines a “vast conspiracy” connecting the Biden administration, top Democratic officials, prosecutors, and political donors in a coordinated effort to stop Trump’s campaign through lawfare.

The six major cases against Trump — including the Manhattan “hush money” trial, the Georgia RICO case, Jack Smith’s DOJ-led investigations, the E. Jean Carroll defamation suit, and New York AG Letitia James’s civil fraud case — are all examined in detail. Marlow asserts that each case has direct links to Biden’s political orbit.
The book argues that key players such as Special Counsel Jack Smith, Fulton County DA Fani Willis, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and AG Letitia James were either directly influenced by or in contact with the Biden White House, Democratic mega-donors like Reid Hoffman, or partisan operatives like George Conway. It also highlights moments like Biden’s own statement in October 2024 — “We gotta lock him up” — as evidence of political intent behind the prosecutions.
The author warns that unless there are investigations and accountability, this playbook will be used again to manipulate future elections.
President Trump has hailed Breaking the Law as a “must-read,” praising its deep dive into what he and many of his supporters view as politically motivated legal persecution.
