First son Donald Trump Jr. didn’t hold back this week as The View announced it’s heading into hiatus—celebrating it as a “major win for humanity and common sense.”
The daytime talk show, known more in recent years for partisan sniping than its original mission of offering women a range of perspectives, is temporarily going dark. Co-host Joy Behar confirmed the break during Thursday’s broadcast, saying, “Before we go on hiatus, we only have one more show after this. I’m allowed to say that, right?” Fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin joked, “Too late now.”
Behar then added, “Before we go, I wanted to tell people that the tide is turning. And things are changing.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg tried to soften the moment, saying, “OK… so this is what’s going on. We will see you all for another new show, and we’ll be back for our new season in September.”
But the political storm brewing behind the scenes may be far more telling.
Last year, The View hit historic ratings lows. Viewers, it seems, are tuning out the tired partisan attacks. A White House spokesperson didn’t mince words:
“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome… She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air.”
Donald Trump Jr. echoed the sentiment on X, posting:
“Major win for humanity and common sense.”
And the ripples are being felt beyond daytime TV. “Look, it’s entirely possible that there’s issues over there,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said on Fox News. “Once President Trump exposed these media gatekeepers and smashed this facade, there’s a lot of consequences… I think the consequences of that aren’t quite finished.”
Behind closed doors, the liberal media elite seems to be sensing the shift. According to Breitbart News, top Disney and ABC executives reportedly told The View’s hosts to tone down their constant Trump-bashing. Disney CEO Bob Iger and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic reportedly met with the cast and executive producer Brian Teta to steer the show back toward its original vision: a daytime talk show, not a cable news echo chamber.
“Karamehmedovic highlighted episodes with celebrity guests that he said were highly rated… and encouraged them to lean into such coverage moving forward,” reported The Daily Beast.
But not everyone was on board. Co-host Ana Navarro pushed back, reportedly saying:
“This is what our audience wants. Isn’t it gonna look kind of bad if we’re all of a sudden not talking about politics?”
Here’s the reality: America is tired of being lectured by coastal elites disguised as daytime hosts. When even their bosses are asking them to cool it, maybe it’s time to recognize that the audience is craving something different—something closer to real life, not just political theater.
As the show retreats for the summer, perhaps the real “pause” is a much-needed reset on out-of-touch media narratives. For those who believe in free thought, balanced conversation, and yes—common sense—it’s a win worth celebrating.

I would like to see The View shut down permanently. It’s nothing but a hate filled rant by hateful women.
These women have to learn what love is all about and rise above the darkness of hate. America is tired of their constant flow of hate towards our president who gave up his comfortable life style to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. He’s been under constant attacks from people like the View. They will not be missed by all patriots that happen to love the country they live in and work towards making it even better. Maranatha
Yes! They need a reset: the truth will set you free!! Work on themes like how to help your community. Find out what your neighbors are suffering from so you can assist them! Be a quiet leader who is servant to others. Imagine a world that appreciates God’s creation and all who live in it!!
It’s about time the View went under! I. for one, couldn’t even stand to listen to them any longer. I can remember when I used to turn on the TV just for their show years ago. It was interesting and fun to tune into to. Somewhere along the line it became too political. I think the TALK was a lot better. I hope they change some of the Hosts as well as their attitudes. If it comes back the same way, don’t count on me to watch it! Good Luck in the Fall!
