Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, delivered a powerful and emotional address Friday, just two days after her husband was assassinated during the first stop of his “American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University.
Erika honored Charlie’s life by speaking about his devotion to his country, his faith, and his family — all the things the Left so often seeks to tear down. She reminded the crowd that Charlie’s life was about more than politics; it was about courage, conviction, and unshakable belief in Jesus Christ.
“Two days ago, my husband Charlie, went to see the face of his savior and his God. Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and for his faith,” she said. “And one of the final conversations that he had on this earth, my husband witnessed for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Erika’s words echoed a truth that many Americans feel but too often forget: the real battle facing our nation isn’t just political, it’s spiritual. “Now, and for all eternity, he will stand at his savior’s side, wearing the glorious crown of a martyr,” she continued.
She urged listeners to hold fast to their faith and to take up the mission Charlie championed. “But most important of all, if you aren’t a member of a church, I beg you to join one — a Bible believing church,” she said. “Our battle is not simply a political one. Above all, it is spiritual. It’s spiritual. The spiritual warfare is palpable.”
Charlie’s vision was clear: America’s survival depends on people of faith stepping forward. Erika drove this point home with urgency: “Charlie loved his savior with all of his heart, and he wanted every one of you to know him too. He wanted everyone to know that if they confess, if they confess the Lord Jesus Christ who rose from the dead, then they will be saved.
“Hear me when I say this. Nobody is ever too young to know the gospel. Nobody. Nobody is ever too young to get involved with saving this beautiful country — this country my husband loved and still loves,” she said. “And nobody is ever too old either. There’s no age limit. I know my husband is still here. He’s watching over us.”
Charlie Kirk, just 31, leaves behind his wife Erika and their two young children. His assassin, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, has been taken into custody. But while his physical life was cut short, his legacy is already being carried forward by millions who believe in America’s founding principles and in the eternal truths of faith and freedom.
In a deeply symbolic gesture, Charlie’s body was transported back to Phoenix, Arizona, aboard Air Force Two, with Vice President JD Vance personally leading the military honor guard. President Donald Trump, who has announced he will posthumously award Charlie the Presidential Medal of Freedom, confirmed Friday that he will attend Kirk’s funeral.
Charlie Kirk lived boldly, spoke truth without fear, and never apologized for his faith or his patriotism. In this moment of grief, his wife’s message serves as a rallying cry for all who still believe America is worth saving: the fight is not only for our politics, but for our very soul.
