A stunning admission is making waves out of Washington, and it’s coming straight from inside the Biden White House. According to a former aide to President Joe Biden, staffers close to the President felt justified doing what they called “undemocratic things” — all in the name of stopping former President Donald Trump.
The revelation was brought to light by Axios reporter Alex Thompson, who spoke candidly on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream. Thompson detailed how many of Biden’s top staffers not only viewed themselves as the true power behind the presidency but also believed they were on a moral mission that allowed them to bend the rules.
“If you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe — that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things,” Thompson said.
In other words: Biden’s inner circle believed Trump was so dangerous, they gave themselves permission to ignore democratic norms and take matters into their own hands. The very thing they accuse Trump of — undermining democracy — they admit to doing themselves.
It gets worse.
According to Thompson, one senior aide reportedly said that all Biden really needed to do was “win,” and then he could essentially vanish for four years while his staff ran the show.
“He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while,” the aide reportedly told Thompson. “His aides could pick up the slack.”
That same aide even claimed:
“When you’re voting for president, you’re voting for the aides around him.”
Let that sink in. The people running the country are admitting out loud that the President doesn’t really have to be present — and that voters should simply trust the bureaucrats and handlers behind the scenes. No wonder Americans are losing confidence in this administration’s leadership.
Biden’s Health Raises More Alarms
These revelations come on the heels of troubling health news for the President. According to official statements provided to CNN and CBS, President Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” his office shared.
The diagnosis, confirmed last Friday, revealed a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) — a sign of high-risk, fast-growing cancer — with metastasis to the bone, indicating it has spread.
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement added. “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
Despite White House reassurances, this diagnosis will undoubtedly raise new questions about President Biden’s ability to lead, especially as the 2024 election heats up and the country looks for clarity on who’s truly in charge.
At a time when foreign policy is unraveling, the economy continues to hurt working Americans, and trust in government is at historic lows, the American people are now being told that President Biden’s aides see themselves as the ones holding the reins — while the president “shows proof of life” from time to time.
