In a newly released video from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Hamas operatives are seen enjoying lavish meals in spacious, well-equipped underground tunnels—while above ground, Gaza’s civilians struggle with widespread shortages and hardship.
Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, IDF’s Arabic spokesman, said the footage reveals how Hamas lives in “comfort and abundance” underground, far removed from the suffering of the people they claim to represent. “This is how the terrorists behave—isolated from the population, hoarding food and lying about starvation,” Adraee said.
The video shows Hamas members preparing elaborate meals, with food not sourced from humanitarian aid. This raises serious concerns about how Hamas acquires and controls resources—while spreading propaganda that blames Israel for famine in Gaza.
Israeli officials have long accused Hamas of using humanitarian suffering as a weapon, and this footage seems to support that claim. “To the people of Gaza,” Adraee added, “these are not your heroes—they’re hoarding what could feed your families, hiding underground in fear, while you face the consequences of their actions.”
Meanwhile, humanitarian aid from the UN continues to sit in trucks above ground, rotting, often looted before it can be delivered. Some aid workers have reportedly cooperated with Hamas, further complicating relief efforts.
The IDF says it has repeatedly found stockpiles of food, water, medicine, and even cash in Hamas tunnels—evidence that leadership prioritizes their own comfort and military operations over the welfare of ordinary Palestinians.
As ceasefire proposals are rejected, and suffering continues, this footage paints a stark picture of a group more invested in power than peace.
