Things got heated—literally—when Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) was caught on a hot mic making a shocking remark about conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.
While speaking at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference in London last week, Crenshaw took a swipe at Carlson’s views on U.S. funding for Ukraine. When asked about Carlson’s argument that the billions sent to Ukraine could have been used to fix problems at home, Crenshaw dismissed him outright.
“Tucker doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Crenshaw said, referring to Carlson’s visits to Moscow. “Tucker likes to visit Moscow and talk about how great the grocery stores are, so I don’t really take his advice very seriously.”
But the real bombshell came after the interview. Journalist Steven Edginton, who conducted the interview for GB News, claimed that once the cameras were off, Crenshaw made a shocking comment.
“I laughed it off,” Edginton wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “He said: ‘No seriously, I would kill him.’”
Crenshaw later denied making any threats when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called him out on social media. However, GB News released a post-interview clip proving otherwise. In the footage, Crenshaw is heard saying, “If I ever meet him, I’ll probably kill him. He’s the worst person.”
Carlson, never one to back down, responded by inviting Crenshaw to come on his show for an interview. “Why don’t you come sit for an interview and we’ll see how you do? I’ll send you my address, @DanCrenshawTX,” he posted, even getting a reaction from Elon Musk, who questioned why Crenshaw was so “homicidal” toward Carlson.
Unsurprisingly, Crenshaw had already told Edginton that he would never appear on Carlson’s show.
This isn’t the first time these two have clashed. Carlson once nicknamed Crenshaw “eyepatch McCain” for his views on Ukraine, and Crenshaw didn’t hold back when Carlson was fired from Fox News, sarcastically telling Politico, “I’ve shed many tears over Tucker Carlson losing the show—many, many tears.”
Now, with video proof of his off-the-cuff threat, Crenshaw might have some explaining to do.
Crenshaw joined the RINO ranks a long time ago. We in Texas saw the signs when he voted for all of Biden’s BS . . . He also didn’t back fellow SEALS, but that’s another story. His vote funding the Ukraine war threw him in with Cornyn, Romney, and McConnell. Word spread like wildfire across Texas. If it votes like a rat, and talks like a rat, and smells like a rat . . .
