Democratic strategist James Carville made an appearance on Fox News Channel’s The Story on Wednesday, where he launched into an animated tirade against the Trump administration. According to Carville, the country is in “total meltdown.”
Carville, known for his over-the-top rhetoric, wasted no time in making his dramatic claims. “Total meltdown!” he declared, before listing what he sees as signs of chaos. “I think people are scared to death. They see markets collapsing, they hear folks calling Mark Kelly a traitor, and they see disorder everywhere. Remember, Trump said he was going to bring down the price of eggs from day one.”
The longtime Democrat strategist continued his criticisms, adding, “We can’t even call the Enola Gay by its name anymore! What’s coming out of Washington right now would scare the living bejesus out of anybody—Republican, Democrat, or independent. This administration is in full collapse.”
Fox News host Martha MacCallum attempted to counter Carville’s grim assessment, pointing out, “Well, I would point out that the market is turning around a bit today.”
Carville, however, dismissed that observation. “So what is the market overall? It’s been down since Trump took office! What’s the market done since then?”
MacCallum acknowledged, “It’s lower. But is this really the hill Democrats want to die on right now while they’re trying to rebuild their party?”
Carville then turned his focus to Republicans, accusing them of hypocrisy when it comes to free speech. “I thought the Republicans were the free speech party. I’m a little confused, because they’re always preaching about the virtues of free speech. Meanwhile, Marco Rubio is busy picking fights with Elon Musk in cabinet meetings. I’m surprised he has any time left to handle actual policy.”
Carville’s appearance was filled with his usual brand of hyperbole. His remarks come at a time when Democrats are struggling to find their footing ahead of the next election. With inflation still affecting households, border security concerns escalating, and foreign policy challenges mounting, it seems Carville would rather focus on dramatic soundbites than offer real solutions.
His attack on Republicans over free speech also rings hollow, considering the left’s growing censorship efforts in media, academia, and social platforms. Whether Carville’s dire warnings resonate with everyday Americans remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—his rhetoric is as fiery as ever.
He is a fruitcake! Who cares what he says. He’s also a blowhard. Time to put him out to pasture.
