The Kennedy political dynasty is once again turning its fire inward. Former Rep. Joe Kennedy III, nephew of HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., issued a blistering public statement on Friday demanding his uncle resign from his Cabinet post.
Posting on X, Joe Kennedy claimed: “Robert Kennedy Jr. is a threat to the health and wellbeing of every American. A United States Secretary of Health and Human Services is tasked with protecting the public health of our country and its people. At yesterday’s hearing, he chose to do the opposite: to dismiss science, mislead the public, sideline experts and sow confusion.”
He added that the “heartbreak of watching a loved one fall ill knows no borders,” accusing his uncle of abandoning “moral clarity, scientific expertise, and leadership rooted in fact.” His conclusion was blunt: RFK Jr. should step down.
The rebuke comes as Democrats escalate pressure on Kennedy after a series of bold reforms at HHS shook up the bureaucracy. Over 1,000 current and former employees signed a letter urging his ouster. Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) accused him of “gross mismanagement.” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) cried that his decisions were the “destruction of the CDC.” And Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) labeled him “the biggest threat to the health of the American people.”
What’s really happening is clear: the entrenched public health establishment is furious that someone is finally challenging their unaccountable power. Kennedy has made no secret of his skepticism toward vaccine mandates and heavy-handed public health edicts. At Thursday’s Senate hearing, he defended his shake-up of the CDC and vaccine advisory committees as reforms aimed at restoring trust. He also accused the Biden administration of manipulating abortion pill safety data, pledging to put the FDA under closer scrutiny.
Democrats and career health officials call that “dangerous.” But for many Americans weary of being lectured, locked down, and misled, it looks like common-sense accountability long overdue.
The family feud isn’t new—Kennedys have long gone to war with each other over ideology. But this latest clash underscores how disruptive RFK Jr. has become to the left’s grip on public health. The louder the outrage from the Democratic establishment, the more obvious it is that he’s striking a nerve.
Punk kid! Who’s the public going to listen to? Someone who has been around and telling the truth. Why does everyone want to be in the limelight? It’s got to be a selfie thing, hey look at me!
