Former President Barack Obama took the stage in Erie, Pennsylvania, this week and managed to turn the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk into yet another political cudgel against Donald Trump. In an interview with Steve Scully, Obama called Kirk’s death “horrific,” but immediately pivoted to recycling debunked claims about Kirk’s past remarks, including the false charge that Kirk had said black women were stupid.
Obama then implied that Trump bore responsibility for Kirk’s murder, suggesting the former president’s policies had “empowered” extremism and created a toxic climate. “Those extreme views were not in my White House. I wasn’t embracing them. I wasn’t empowering them. I wasn’t putting the weight of the United States government behind extremist views,” Obama insisted. He further accused Trump of trying to “silence discussion around who we are as a country and what direction we should go.”
But the record tells a different story. Long before Trump entered the White House, Obama was the one pouring gasoline on America’s political divisions. In 2008, he urged supporters to “argue with them, get in their face.” As president, he lent credibility to the Occupy Wall Street protests, elevated Al Sharpton as an ally, and stoked racial tensions during the Trayvon Martin case — a turning point that helped fuel the rise of Black Lives Matter. That movement, cheered on by the left, unleashed years of chaos on American cities.
Obama’s administration was hardly a bastion of moderation. Staff like Anita Dunn openly cited Mao Zedong — history’s deadliest communist tyrant — as a guiding influence. And though the media helped bury it, Obama even sat down with Louis Farrakhan before his presidency, shielding the image from public view until long after he left office.
His rhetoric about “moderate Republicans” now rings hollow. Obama himself torched Paul Ryan to his face during a budget speech, despite inviting him as a guest, and spent much of his presidency painting the Tea Party as extremists. Instead of governing from the middle after losing Congress in 2010, Obama rammed through polarizing policies like Obamacare and, later, bypassed Congress altogether with sweeping immigration orders he had previously admitted were unconstitutional.
This week’s comments are simply the latest reminder: Obama has long thrived by pitting Americans against each other, labeling opposition as dangerous while excusing the excesses of the left. His attempt to blame Trump for Kirk’s assassination is not only unfair — it’s part of the same divisive playbook he has used for years.
barky is so full of it – his entire regime was built on “extreme views” – what else could ‘justify’ his attempts to “fundamentally transform America”?
Barry is so delusional.
Classic Democrat blame others of exactly what democrats are doing.
Obummer still proving that he’s still an idiotic Gormless loser…
And he has his head buried but not in the sand!
Obutts knows about murder what about the chef? Donald Trump loved Charlie Kirk like a son and dear friend.
HEY OBAMA YOU ARE A LYING POLITICIAN
This is what Obama does best. He is nothing but a good looking black man in a suit. All former presidents have left politics except for this POS. Please, do not let him ruin our country anymore than he has.
I am Donna Hunter and I approve of my comment.
He´s delusional, as usual demoncrats offer excuses and blames somebody else. The demoncrats want to destroy this country. How do you feel a failed, lying ex and the biggest GRIFTER of the black community.
You know if he hadn’t given permission to use propaganda against the American citizens, we wouldn’t be seeing mockingbird MSM spewing out their continuous lies! We wouldn’t have seen multiple FF events that were covered up by MSM, this is what happened, accept it…no! The worst was Sandy Hook, a school that was closed due to hazardous waste but yet, was reopened? Obama paid off the whole towns mortgages, plus! You just saw that guy who said he shot Kirk? Crisis actor from another event. One in Sandy Hook was spotted in 3 FF events! So, the Obama (actor) has to leave the stage pretty soon as he’s got to get ready for his trip to Gitmo, again. I’m sure Wikipedia will not mention any of his treason or crimes against humanity.
