The Democrat Party is having a serious identity crisis—and the numbers back it up.
A new Wall Street Journal poll just dropped a political bombshell: 63% of Americans now view the Democrat Party unfavorably—the worst public image rating for the party since 1990. Only 8% of respondents say they have a very favorable view. Yep, 8%.
Even more surprising? While many voters openly disapprove of Donald Trump’s approach to inflation, tariffs, and foreign policy… they still trust Republicans more than Democrats to handle nearly every major issue.
Let that sink in.
Take inflation for example. Trump’s handling of it? Voters give it a thumbs-down by 11 points. But when asked who they trust more to tackle inflation, Republicans win by 10 points. It’s not that voters love Trump—it’s that they’ve simply stopped trusting the other guys.
“The Democrat brand is so bad that they don’t have the credibility to be a critic of Trump or the Republican Party,” said Democratic pollster John Anzalone, who co-ran the poll. “Until they reconnect with real voters and working people… they’re going to have problems.”
The problems are stacking up fast.
In 2017, Democrats held a 6-point edge in voter registration. Today? Republicans are up by 1 point—marking a rare and significant shift in party identity. It’s the GOP’s first durable lead in this metric in decades.
Where Democrats still hold ground? Healthcare and vaccine policy. Everywhere else—immigration (24-point GOP lead), the economy, foreign policy, you name it—Republicans are more trusted.
And the money isn’t flowing blue either.
As of mid-2025, the Republican National Committee is sitting on more than $80 million, while the Democrats’ campaign arm has just $15 million in the bank. Yikes.
To make matters more awkward, even high-profile Democrats are sounding the alarm.
- Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, recently posted that the modern Democrat Party has “lost the plot” by turning away from capitalism and innovation.
- Barack Obama criticized the party’s “fetal position” mindset.
- Beto O’Rourke warned that Democrats care more about being right than actually winning. His advice? “We have to be absolutely ruthless about getting back in power.”
Meanwhile, working-class voters and Hispanic men—once reliable Democratic bases—are steadily drifting toward the GOP.
Still, the Democrats are hoping to bounce back. Their plan? A blitz of town halls, even in red districts, to push back against Trump’s agenda. Whether that will work remains to be seen.
But for now, it’s clear: voters may have issues with Trump, but they’ve got even bigger issues with the Democratic Party.
Pretty easy to understand, given the fact that they are subhuman GOD hating enemies of all humanity. These are not humans or Americans. Brainless useless evil vacant morons. TO DANGEROUS TO WALK FREE.
