A long-overdue chapter may finally be turning. The FBI has officially opened a criminal investigation into former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey over their controversial roles in the Trump-Russia probe—an investigation that consumed a presidency, cost taxpayers millions, and eroded public trust in America’s highest intelligence institutions.
According to Department of Justice (DOJ) sources cited by Fox News, CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred alleged evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan directly to FBI Director Kash Patel. That referral has now triggered a full-fledged criminal probe into Brennan, with the potential for Comey to follow.
While DOJ officials aren’t yet commenting on specific charges, sources noted the investigation focuses in part on false statements Brennan may have made to Congress. But insiders believe the scope could go further. Two officials reportedly described the nature of Brennan and Comey’s conduct as a “conspiracy.”
The investigation’s momentum follows the recent declassification of a bombshell CIA review surrounding the so-called “Intelligence Community Assessment” (ICA)—the original justification for launching the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.
As Breitbart News reported, Ratcliffe revealed the assessment “was conducted through an atypical & corrupt process under the politically charged environments of former Dir. Brennan & former FBI Dir. Comey.” The ICA was central to justifying a sweeping probe into Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign—yet mounting evidence continues to suggest the foundation was built on politics, not facts.
For years, conservatives have raised alarms about the deep-state weaponization of intelligence agencies against political opponents. Now, those concerns are finally being treated seriously in the halls of justice.
This isn’t just about Comey or Brennan. It’s about holding powerful bureaucrats accountable for using the tools of national security to undermine a sitting president. It’s about restoring integrity to institutions meant to serve the American people—not sabotage them from within. And it’s about reminding the ruling class that no one is above the law.
The original collusion narrative—amplified endlessly by corporate media and anti-Trump politicians—smeared conservatives, divided the country, and distracted from real foreign threats. But facts are stubborn things. And if this investigation confirms what many suspected all along, it will be a powerful indictment of D.C.’s unchecked political class.
With the truth finally under scrutiny, the question remains: How deep does the corruption go—and will real accountability follow?
