In a powerful and emotional interview on Newsmax TV this past weekend, former Trump adviser Stephen Miller delivered a message that’s hitting home for millions of Americans: We, the American people, deserve reparations for the devastation caused by decades of unchecked illegal immigration.
Miller didn’t mince words.
“We all deserve reparations for what has been stolen from us,” he said. “It is a tragedy that defies our ability to even describe it.”
The comments came as a pointed response to Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who floated the idea of paying reparations to Kilmar Abrego Garcia—an illegal alien from El Salvador reportedly tied to MS-13, the notoriously violent gang known for human trafficking, drug dealing, and ruthless killings. Garcia has been deported, but the left wants to extend courtroom rights and protections even to individuals like him.
Miller’s response was swift—and blistering.
Miller asked what millions of us are wondering: What about the American victims? Where’s their justice?
He laid out the damage in plain terms that resonate with everyday citizens:
- Broken Schools:
“We used to have a functioning public school system in this country. Then we had open borders. Now our schools are in chaos and disarray. We need hundreds of translators. Nobody’s learning how to read or write.” He pointed to how generations of American kids have been robbed of proper education because schools are overwhelmed with illegal immigrants and cannot meet basic standards anymore. - Communities Overrun by Gangs:
“Look at Los Angeles. Once a paradise of safety, security, and prosperity—entire neighborhoods are occupied and controlled by foreign gangs.” Families have been pushed out of their own communities by crime and lawlessness brought in by open-border policies. - Fentanyl Deaths:
“What about the victims of fentanyl poisoning brought in by Democrats’ open border—the hundreds of thousands of moms and dads whose kids are dead and buried in the ground?” With drugs flooding across the southern border, fentanyl overdoses have killed countless young Americans—and the Biden administration has yet to take serious action. - Crimes Against Women and Police:
“And then all the women who have been raped, who’ve been beaten, who have been murdered… all the police officers who have been slain by illegal aliens in ambush attacks in the line of duty—where do their families go to get reparations?” These aren’t just numbers. They’re human lives, destroyed by a system that prioritizes foreign lawbreakers over law-abiding Americans.
Perhaps the most disturbing accusation Miller made was about the children.
“Half a million children that Joe Biden trafficked across the southern border and put into the hands of unvetted, so-called sponsors… I can tell you stories of children who were raped because of the policies of Joe Biden.”
The former adviser says the White House has allowed child trafficking on a massive scale, failing to protect the very kids they claim to be saving.
Miller didn’t stop there. He painted a broader picture of what mass illegal immigration has cost this country under Joe Biden’s leadership:
- Lost Wealth for Americans:
Thanks to mass migration, working-class and middle-class Americans have seen their wages stagnate, housing prices skyrocket, and job opportunities vanish. - College Graduates Left Behind:
The constant flood of foreign white-collar workers through programs like H-1B visas means fewer job opportunities and lower pay for young Americans with degrees. - Communities Transformed Without Consent:
Miller slammed the way open-border policies have flooded neighborhoods with unvetted migrants, stripping Americans of local influence and civic stability in exchange for “diversity” pushed by the government. - Using Americans’ Money Against Them:
Billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent facilitating the movement of illegal migrants into the U.S., often with little accountability and horrific results—including the deaths of both Americans and migrants.
Miller’s core message is one that many feel but few in power are willing to voice: Ordinary Americans have paid the highest price.
“We can spend the rest of our lives trying to document those harms. Where does our whole country go to get repaid for all of the wealth, all of the prosperity and security that has been stolen from us?”
While the left rallies to offer rights and financial aid to illegal immigrants—some even tied to gangs like MS-13—no one is standing up for the Americans who’ve lost everything because of these policies.
Miller’s comments strike a chord because they reflect the growing anger and betrayal felt by everyday citizens. Poll after poll shows that Americans are fed up with endless migration and the chaos that comes with it.
Even some elites are starting to admit the country needs to reduce immigration, but it may be too little, too late.
The damage is already done—and it’s not just numbers on paper. It’s dead children. Destroyed families. Gutted schools. Neighborhoods overtaken by violence. Futures stolen.
And as Stephen Miller said, “We all deserve reparations.”
