“He’s being framed as the next Zohran Mamdani, running for mayor of Minneapolis,” Marlow said. He laid out a series of concerning red flags that align with Fateh’s progressive track record — and highlight just how far left this campaign really is leaning.
Fateh, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, has previously accused Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of “white supremacy” simply for opposing taxpayer-funded college for illegal immigrants. - Free college tuition — a massive taxpayer handout to universities with no performance accountability
- Slashing police and ICE budgets — part of his “defund the police” history, even in a city still reeling from crime surges
- Carbon fees and EV mandates — environmental overregulation that would burden working families
- $20 minimum wage — a job-killing hike sure to hammer small businesses already struggling under inflation
Marlow didn’t mince words: this isn’t just a local race. It’s a test run for big-government policies designed to reshape American cities through ideology, not common sense. And Minneapolis — already a poster child for progressive dysfunction — could be the next battleground.
As voters in blue cities begin feeling the real costs of these radical policies, candidates like Fateh remind us what’s at stake — not just in Minneapolis, but across the country.
