After years of endless bloodshed, billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars wasted, and little to no real progress, the Biden-era war policy in Ukraine is finally being reined in under President Donald Trump’s leadership.
For the first time, talks are underway to determine whether Ukraine is finally willing to engage with President Trump’s peace process—a critical step in determining whether the U.S. will resume military aid and intelligence support to Kyiv.
These negotiations began Tuesday morning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking the first face-to-face meeting between American and Ukrainian officials since Zelensky’s humiliating visit to the White House in February, where his tone-deaf demands for more U.S. aid led to him being escorted out with nothing.
Representing the United States in these high-stakes discussions are:
✅ Secretary of State Marco Rubio
✅ National Security Adviser Mike Waltz
Both men were also present in previous discussions with Russia, underscoring Trump’s commitment to a diplomatic solution rather than endless war.
On the Ukrainian side, the delegation includes:
🔹 Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha
🔹 Zelensky’s Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak
🔹 Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov
Saudi officials Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Mosaad bin Mohammad al-Aiban are mediating the talks—a sign of the shifting global landscape as the Middle East plays a bigger role in international diplomacy under Trump’s leadership.

Notably, Zelensky himself is NOT attending the talks. While he met with Saudi officials on Monday, he left before the actual negotiations began.
His absence raises serious questions:
👉 Is Zelensky avoiding difficult compromises?
👉 Does he fear backlash from the powerful globalists and war profiteers who benefit from prolonging the conflict?
👉 Or is Ukraine finally ready to admit it can’t win on the battlefield and must negotiate?
Yermak, a former film producer and longtime Zelensky loyalist, told media that the talks started off “constructively”, adding that Ukraine is working toward “a just and lasting peace.”
However, we’ve heard this before. Zelensky made similar remarks before his disastrous Oval Office visit, only to resort to sarcasm and arrogance, leading to a strong rebuke from Vice President J.D. Vance and a total collapse of his request for more U.S. funds.
President Trump has been crystal clear: The U.S. will not bankroll Ukraine indefinitely, and peace must be the priority.
During his flight to Saudi Arabia, Secretary Rubio laid out the key U.S. goal for the talks:
“The most important thing that we have to leave here with is a strong sense that Ukraine is prepared to do difficult things—just like the Russians will have to do—to end this conflict.”
Rubio’s words echo Trump’s consistent position—there will be no military victory in Ukraine. Any realistic peace deal will likely require territorial concessions, a hard truth that Biden and his neocon allies refused to acknowledge.
These peace talks aren’t just about Ukraine—they are about America’s role in the world under Trump’s leadership:
✅ Ending America’s involvement in endless wars
✅ Prioritizing U.S. taxpayer dollars for Americans, not foreign conflicts
✅ Shifting global diplomacy away from the failed policies of the Biden era
This is why Trump’s America First foreign policy is working—because it demands accountability from allies while keeping America out of costly, unnecessary wars.
Though Russia is not at today’s talks, the Kremlin made its position clear. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused Ukraine of attempting to sabotage peace efforts, pointing to a drone attack on Moscow overnight.
The reality? There are powerful forces—both in Ukraine and the globalist elite—who don’t want this war to end.
After all, the military-industrial complex has made a fortune off the conflict, and there are many in Washington—on both sides of the aisle—who have financial incentives to keep the war going.
But Trump is calling their bluff.
The ball is now in Ukraine’s court. If Zelensky and his team refuse to negotiate, U.S. aid will remain frozen.
And for once, America won’t be writing blank checks for a war we have no business fighting.
Stay tuned. Trump is reshaping global diplomacy—and America is finally putting its own interests first again.
What do you think? Should Ukraine accept peace, or should U.S. taxpayers keep footing the bill?
