A trip to the grocery store turned into a full-blown melee Thursday evening in Miami-Dade, Florida, after a violent brawl broke out inside a Publix supermarket. The fight, caught on multiple videos that quickly went viral, looked more like a wrestling match than a shopping trip.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reported the altercation began around 6:00 p.m. at the Colonial Plaza Shopping Center, when two groups started arguing inside the store. What began as shouting quickly escalated into chaos.
Police identified 20-year-old Climont Mann as one of the main aggressors. According to the arrest report, Mann allegedly grabbed a metal shelf, lifted it over his head, and smashed it onto the floor before striking another individual. Witnesses can be heard yelling as customers scramble for safety.
Deputies arriving on scene described a chaotic scene — plates and items flying, shoppers running for cover, and the front of the store trashed. In one video, several women can be seen fighting in the self-checkout area while stunned customers record the scene on their phones.
Fire rescue crews treated several people on-site and transported two individuals to the hospital for injuries. Mann was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct — though his criminal mischief charge was later dropped. He’s being held on $5,150 bond.
Online, the footage sparked an avalanche of social media reactions. One user joked, “Bro thought it was WWE,” while another quipped, “If you don’t destroy the store, are you even mad?”
Beyond the humor, the incident underscores a troubling pattern of public breakdowns and rising disorder seen across the country — where ordinary spaces like schools, stores, and restaurants are increasingly turning into battlegrounds. Whether it’s frustration, lawlessness, or a lack of accountability driving it, one thing’s clear: even a routine grocery run in modern America isn’t guaranteed to be peaceful anymore.
Don’t FUCK AROUND !! “Pop a cap” in their asses. That’ll stop them !!!
