Just imagine what the response would be if a white congressman began a public conversation ” Dear Black people, you are racist. Why can you not respect that bad things happen to bad people. Drug addicts, criminals. Just like Barrack Obama’s comment that ” Elections have consequences”, bad, illegal actions have consequences. Do not expect the public to say, “Well, it’s OK because the perpetrator was underprivileged. Or mentally ill. Or induced by drugs taken intentionally.
