The city of Minneapolis is in mourning after a brutal attack on a Catholic school left two children dead and 17 others injured. Yet while families grieve, local leaders are already turning the focus away from hard questions about public safety and toward political messaging.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the shooter was Robin Westman, “a male born as Robert Westman,” who had legally changed names in 2020 with his mother’s approval after identifying “as a female.” Fox News National Correspondent Brooke Taylor posted the official court documents on X, noting, “The application for a name change of a minor was filed by the mother and a court granted the request in 2020.”
Despite these confirmed details, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) chose to center his remarks on protecting the image of the transgender community. “Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity,” Frey said. “We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone. We should be operating from a place of love for our kids. Kids died today.” He later added that he had “heard about a whole lot of hate that’s being directed at” the transgender community.
But for many Americans, the real issue is not misplaced blame — it’s accountability. According to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara, the attacker “opened fire through church windows during a Mass attended by schoolchildren at a Minneapolis Catholic Church” using a rifle, shotgun, and pistol. Those facts highlight not just the scale of the tragedy, but the vulnerability of innocent children targeted in a sacred space.
The response from city leadership underscores a troubling pattern: political leaders rushing to shield favored groups from criticism while sidestepping the deeper breakdowns that put public safety at risk. At a time when families are burying their children, citizens are left asking why officials are quicker to manage narratives than to confront the failures that allow such violence to erupt in the first place.

All Trannys are Insane and Have Mental Illness
Yes,the message isn’t there but I don’t think MN is ready to forget what’s been happening since 2020. This is the 2nd or 3rd shooting in the last month, not to mention the 500 busted car windows in Minneapolis. The rhetoric coming from our governor and mayor is just angering the people of the state. This has become a hell-hole literally, evil resides here since Walz and Frey let Minneapolis burn in 2020. Heck, our new state flag looks like the Somalian flag. Our leadership panders to illegal immigrants and transgender and lawlessness. Satan thrives here and Minnesotans aren’t going to let this go!!
