Kinzinger on Trump Declaring J6 Pardons Void: I’ll ‘Crush You in Court’

Former Republican Congressman-turned-CNN-commentator Adam Kinzinger made headlines once again with his latest outburst against President Donald Trump. During an appearance on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper, Kinzinger boasted that he would “crush” Trump in court if the Justice Department ever brought charges against him for his role in the partisan January 6 Committee.

Jake Tapper set the stage by referencing the preemptive pardons issued by Trump’s Justice Department, which covered individuals involved in the January 6 Committee, including Kinzinger. However, Trump recently declared those pardons “void and vacant,” prompting an over-the-top reaction from the ex-Congressman.

Kinzinger, who has made a career out of attacking Trump and cozying up to the left-wing media, responded with a dramatic challenge, saying:

“Well first off, I’m trying to figure out what he’s trying to distract from, because that’s what all this always is—just a distraction. Maybe he hasn’t felt like he’s gotten enough attention. But look, Jake, it’s like, bring it on. Honestly.”

He went on to claim:

“We had an election. I fought against Donald Trump. I wanted Kamala Harris to win. January 6 was a big thing, but America made a different choice. Fine. I’m ready to move on.”

Ready to move on? That’s a bizarre statement coming from someone who has spent the last three years obsessing over January 6, constantly appearing on liberal networks to bash Trump and his supporters.

Despite claiming he’s “moved on,” Kinzinger doubled down on attacking Trump, insisting that the former president is the one obsessed with the events of January 6.

“There is one person that’s obsessed about the 6th because he still has been basically deemed guilty in the court of public opinion, and that’s Donald Trump. And he can’t handle it. He obsesses about it. So my reaction to him is like, you know what? Then bring it. Stop talking about it. Stop being all verbose. Stop pretending like you’re tough. Bring the charges then if you really want to do it because we will crush you in court.”

It’s ironic that Kinzinger, one of the loudest voices pushing the anti-Trump January 6 narrative, now claims that Trump is the one who “can’t move on.”

Let’s not forget—Kinzinger was once a Republican representative from Illinois, but he completely turned on his party and his voters. Instead of standing up for conservative values, he chose to align himself with Democrats, the mainstream media, and the Washington establishment. His seat in Congress wasn’t taken from him—he walked away, knowing full well he had alienated his Republican base beyond repair.

Since then, he has built a career on being a professional anti-Trump talking head, scoring a contributor role at CNN and basking in the praise of leftist elites. But even with his media platform, he continues to whine about Trump at every opportunity.

Kinzinger’s latest CNN appearance is just another example of his relentless Trump Derangement Syndrome. He claims he’s moved on, yet he’s the one constantly bringing up January 6 and attacking Trump. Meanwhile, Trump is focused on winning in November and restoring American greatness.

The reality is, Kinzinger is irrelevant. He’s a failed politician desperately clinging to whatever scraps of media attention he can get. And if he really thinks he’d “crush” Trump in court, he might want to take a look at the real world, where Trump has beaten the political establishment time and time again.
