The situation in Los Angeles continues to escalate as President Donald Trump’s decisive move to restore order is met with fierce opposition from Democrat leaders, including California Rep. Maxine Waters, who went on national television to hurl personal attacks at the president.
Appearing on CNN’s “Newsroom” this past Sunday, Waters accused Trump of being a “cruel, dishonorable human being” for sending 2,000 National Guard troops into Los Angeles to assist federal immigration officers and restore calm amid violent, anti-ICE protests that turned the city into a war zone over the weekend.
“They will end up being used. I don’t know why we have guns. What are those guns for? Are they to shoot protesters?” Waters asked, implying Trump’s decision was not just misguided—but dangerous.
“There’s no reason to be here with the National Guard,” she continued. “The President of the United States is a cruel, dishonorable human being who would just as soon they shoot somebody down. But I don’t want that to happen. I want the elected officials to do everything that we can to dissuade them.”
Translation for the rest of America: Waters would rather let chaos reign than allow federal authorities to enforce immigration law and keep the streets safe.
This outburst isn’t shocking coming from Waters, who has built a political brand on resistance and rage. But her comments come at a time when law-abiding citizens are watching parts of their city burn, seeing masked mobs throw objects at police, and witnessing cars set on fire in broad daylight.
On Friday, over 40 arrests were made during a federal operation targeting illegal immigrants with prior convictions and outstanding warrants. In response, radical activists—many waving foreign flags—swarmed highways, blocked traffic, and turned parts of Los Angeles into a chaotic mess.
Instead of condemning the violence, Democrat officials like Gov. Gavin Newsom and Rep. Waters have zeroed in on President Trump’s response, not the actions that necessitated it.
As Breitbart News reported, the mob activity has grown increasingly hostile. Some protesters were seen throwing eggs, lighting fires, and taunting police in riot gear. In one shocking scene, a car was engulfed in flames at an intersection while activists celebrated.
CNN correspondent Kyung Lah echoed Waters’ narrative, suggesting that Trump’s decision to deploy troops created what she called a “cauldron” of tension.
“It’s the cauldron that has been created today by the deployment of the National Guard, by how people are feeling about these ICE arrests that occurred on Friday, what that clash could mean today here on the streets of Los Angeles,” she said.
Rather than calling for calm or supporting law enforcement, the media and Democrat politicians seem more interested in blaming Trump for taking action when local leaders failed.
President Trump, however, has made clear that restoring peace is not optional.
“A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals,” the president said on Truth Social. “Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations — But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve.”
“Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free.”
This message has resonated strongly with grassroots conservatives who are tired of watching law-abiding communities be overrun while the Left demonizes police and ICE agents doing their job.
While Maxine Waters warns of armed troops and imagines violent outcomes, what she doesn’t seem to recognize is the real threat: the lawless behavior of activists and the utter failure of Democrat leadership in California.
This isn’t about fear-mongering—it’s about facts:
- Violent protests are erupting
- Immigration laws are being blatantly ignored
- Local politicians are enabling the chaos
Rather than offering solutions, they’re attacking the one man trying to clean up their mess.
Conservatives and normal people already know that mad max is a loon. She brings nothing to the table but hate and lunacy. I guess that’s just one reason California has descended into far left idiocy.
