Over the long Labor Day weekend, online critics pushed feverish conspiracy theories claiming President Trump was either dead or gravely ill. The “evidence”? A bruise on his hand, some swelling in his ankles, and three days without a public schedule. For the hyper-online left, that was enough to light up TikTok, Reddit, and X with wild claims that the White House was hiding the truth.
The president laughed it off. Asked Tuesday how he first heard of his supposed death, Trump quipped he wasn’t even aware until reporters mentioned it. “I did numerous shows, and also did a number of Truths,” he said in the Oval Office, pointing to the 90-plus posts he made on Truth Social that weekend. “I think, pretty poignant Truths. I was very active over the weekend.” He even wrote on Sunday, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE!”—which of course conspiracy theorists insisted was part of a cover-up.
This isn’t new. For years, opponents have fixated on Trump’s health while ignoring the visible decline of Joe Biden. Democrats called questions about Biden’s fitness “conspiracy theories” even as the world watched him stumble, whisper, and lose his train of thought. Yet when it comes to Trump, the left and its media allies treat routine health issues—cholesterol medication, aspirin-related bruising, even swollen ankles—as signs of catastrophe.
Doctors note bruising is common in older adults, especially active ones like Trump, who golfs frequently. His White House physician has confirmed he takes cholesterol-lowering medication and aspirin, which can explain the bruises. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt summed it up clearly: Trump is “perfectly fine” with “tremendous” energy and, unlike his predecessor, has been transparent about his health.
The reality is simple: Trump is 79, but sharp, energetic, and still running circles around his opponents. The American people saw firsthand his stamina on the campaign trail in 2016, in office for four years, and now again as he prepares for another fight. Rumors and wishful thinking from the far left won’t change that fact.
The obsession with his health reveals more about his critics than it does about Trump himself. They’d rather spin conspiracies than confront the uncomfortable truth: he remains a formidable political force, very much alive, and ready for the battles ahead.

The desperate left clutching for straws. At this point fake news is ALL they know.
