Trump Rips Fox News Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich: ‘She Should Be Working for CNN’

President Donald Trump has once again set his sights on the mainstream media, this time calling out Fox News and the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) for their handling of White House press access. In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump specifically criticized Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, accusing her of siding with the establishment media against his administration.

Trump did not hold back in his assessment of Heinrich’s reporting, suggesting that she was more suited for CNN than Fox News.

“I watched Jacqui Heinrich from Fox over the weekend and I thought she was absolutely terrible. She should be working for CNN, not Fox,” Trump posted. “Not surprisingly, I later found out that she’s a fan of the White House Correspondents’ Association!”

Heinrich has gained a reputation for being critical of Trump’s administration, and her reaction to recent White House changes has only fueled tensions.

One of the biggest shifts in media access under the current administration has been a move to open the White House press room to new media outlets. For years, legacy outlets like CNN, The New York Times, and Fox News (through its WHCA membership) have had exclusive control over who gets into the press room and how information is disseminated. The new system allows more outlets—including alternative and conservative media—to cover the administration directly.

For Trump and his supporters, the WHCA’s complaints reinforce a long-standing belief that the mainstream media wants to control the political narrative and silence alternative voices. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt clarified that Fox News would not lose its access, but new media organizations would now be given the same opportunities that the WHCA’s preferred outlets have long enjoyed.

“We will continue the rotation amongst the five major television networks to ensure the president’s remarks are heard far and wide around this world,” Leavitt said. “We will add additional streaming services, which reach different audiences than traditional cable and broadcast.”

By allowing more outlets access, the White House is breaking down the establishment media’s monopoly over information.
