It looks like some Democrats are already looking past 2024—and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) may have just spilled the beans on their plan for 2028.
During a recent appearance on Urban View radio with hosts Clay Cane and Reecie Colbert, Crockett openly admitted what many conservatives have suspected for a long time: Democrats aren’t just plotting ahead—they’re trying to package up a candidate they think can “safely” win, even if it means turning their backs on identity politics.
Crockett’s comments pulled back the curtain on the DNC’s internal thinking. She claimed there’s real fear inside the party about nominating a woman again after past losses, and that fear is steering major donors toward a very specific kind of candidate.
“And I think that that’s a natural fear because we just want to win,” Crockett said. “So there’s a lot of people that are like, you know what? Like, let’s go find the safest white boy we can find. I mean, I’m just saying.”
That’s not speculation. According to Crockett, high-level Democratic donors are already lining up behind one particular candidate.
“I can tell you that there is one specific candidate. I had a donor on the phone with me telling me that all the donors are lining up behind that candidate. So I can tell, and I tell you, it’s not a black person nor a woman, okay?”
It’s a striking admission—especially coming from a progressive Democrat who built her profile on race and gender advocacy. In one breath, Crockett criticized the party’s fear of nominating women or minorities again… and in the next, confirmed that its wealthy donors are doing exactly that.
No Democrat rant seems complete these days without a swipe at President Donald Trump, and Crockett made sure to check that box too. She took aim at Trump’s personality, calling him names and accusing him of being “disrespectful” and “a misogynist”—ignoring the fact that Trump’s approval ratings continue to rise.
“People fail to recognize how unique Trump is,” she said. “They continue to say, ‘Well, we lost.’ Well, they both lost to Trump. Trump who is a misogynist, Trump who is going to ramp up the misogynists in the first place because that’s what he does. He is disrespectful. Like, right now, he still doesn’t know how to deal with me. Because if you punch me, I’m punching back, okay?”
Despite her name-calling, Trump remains a political juggernaut. As Breitbart News reported, Trump hit his highest approval rating since taking office back in April—hardly the sign of a nation ready to turn the page on him.
Rep. Crockett is no stranger to headline-making statements—and not in a good way. Just last March, she faced serious backlash for mocking Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, by calling him “Governor Hot Wheels” and a “hot-ass mess.”
The comments drew immediate criticism, but Crockett doubled down, showing no signs of walking back the insult. For someone who claims to stand for respect and equality, it was a stunning display of hypocrisy.
As for 2028, Crockett’s comments come amid growing concerns among Senate Democrats about the possibility of Vice President Kamala Harris running again. After her poor showing in 2024, many Democrats are quietly worried that another Harris run would be disastrous—and Crockett’s remarks seem to confirm that insiders are already hunting for a safer alternative.
Crockett might have said the quiet part out loud, but the message was loud and clear: when it comes to 2028, the Democratic establishment doesn’t want to gamble. They want a candidate who can win—and that, according to Crockett, means not a woman, not a minority, but a “safe white guy.”
For a party that loves to talk about diversity and inclusion, it’s a revealing and ironic turn.
How can you become any more insane than these Democrats have become? They seem to hate America and they seemed to hate American citizens who wanna keep America free and not under a one party government
Crockett needs to incaserated for dragging such an honorable through the mud. She’s nothing but an ignorant bitch exploiting the current political situation for her own selfish gains.
